Reunited… Sadly

Well if you haven’t already heard the insane news about Tom Brady joining the buccaneers. Here you are, he’s signed with tampa bay. But even wilder news is that Rob Gronkowski, better known as Gronk is going to be joining him in Tampa Bay…

Yeah you read that correctly (Don’t worry were all as shocked too).

I wonder what’s going through the mind of Bill Belicheck right now. Like you lost your “Star” Quarterback, who if you asked me, has been slowly declining in performance recently. And one of your better players you just traded away basically for free to the buccaneers. Am I the only one who is finding this to be just a little off?

I just cant wait for all of the Tampa Bay bandwagon fans.

But can you really blame them? With just a few more pieces, it’d be hard not see them make a deep playoff run.

What does this mean for Jalen Hurts?

Jalen Hurts has been one of my favorite Quarterbacks to watch in college football. I believe he has a tremendous amount of talent and Im honestly very excited to watch him in the NFL. And in the recent NFL draft he was drafted in the second round by the Philedephia Eagles.

Now just incase you have no idea why that is so significant, let me give you a short lesson. The eagles already have a franchise quarterback by the name of Caron WINCE…. oh sorry my bad, I meant Carson Wentz. The eagles are actually lacking in pretty much every other area on the team, but they picked a quarterback. If I were an eagles fan I’d be sick to my stomach. But since Im a Cowboys fan i’m gonna sit back and enjoy their mistakes.

But what DOES this mean for Jalen Hurts who was pretty good in college? Well on the bright side they could try and incorporate a dual QB system in Phili. I haven’t seen that done recently but it could very well happen. But my best bet is that they have him there just in case Wentz gets hurt yet again. I guess his role will be determined in time. Now we just wait and see what happens.

Lionel Messi Takes a Pay Cut

Lionel Messi is taking a 70% pay cut amid the Corona Virus crisis. The world class superstar announced on his Instagram that he along with some of his teammates would take pay cuts in order to help the football club afford to pay all of its employees. He has also donated a total of $1 Million between a hospital in Barcelona and a clinic in Argentina. Its great to see athletes willing to help as much as they can in times such as these.

Leo Messi is also the highest paid soccer player in the world.

The Last Dance

Michael Jordan’s documentary coming out is probably the most exciting thing that has happened while we have all been quarantined during this crisis. This is exactly what I needed. A chance to see what happened back when arguably the greatest player of all time. But the question reigns.

Will the footage seen in the documentary cement that he is the GOAT?

Or will this disprove it?

It’s Always been these two

The best and brightest rookies in the entire NBA right now. Both of them are playing way above expectation. Many people thought that they would be doing big things in the league but I don’t think many expected this.

All season Ja Morant has been toying with veterans, flying high and helping elevate his team to the 8th seed in a tough western conference.

Zion Williamson hasn’t played all season but he has definitely made his mark in the NBA, bullying defenders out of the way, dropping 30 points and hasn’t even really expanded his game yet. But what I think will really dictate wether or not he wins rookie of the year or not will be if the Pelicans can push past the Grizzlies in the next month and a half.

It has always been these two, from a young age when they were playing AAU basketball together, to the NCAA stage where they were often compared together, till now leading the race of rookies.

What Corona has done to sports

I honestly never thought it could come to this…

But right now, sports are done. There is no NBA, there is no Europes Top 5 leagues for soccer, there is not Football. There is no college basketball. Different leagues and sports across the world have suspended play. That is truly sad. Especially because this is a sports blog. There isn’t too much to talk about in terms of current events. The sports world feels empty and sad.

Because of the recent events and uprising in the numbers of cases most of the world is in a current “stay at home state” meaning they must stay at home unless going out for essential goods. Everyone is trying to play their part in containing the virus. So please please please. STAY HOME, wash your hands and practice social distancing.

What’s Next for the NBA?

The NBA is CLOSED.

NBA Commissioner Adam has shut down the league because of the coronavirus. There will be no games played until further notice. But now it looks like there wont be any games at all for the rest of the season. The coronavirus cases numbers have done nothing but rise even with much of the world in a stay at home order. It looks like the NBA may have to cancel this season for the safety of fans and the players and start a new season after this summer. But at this point, the sports world is in a state of sit still.

Rudy Gobert Tests Positive for Corona Virus

Rudy Gobert has officially tested positive as of March of 9th.

He jokingly touched all of the microphones that were near him at a press conference when it was rumored that he had coronavirus. The joke turned into a harsh reality when it was revealed that Gobert 100% had corona. And sadly it got spread to one of his teammates Donovan Mitchell. (Who was infuriated when he found out that he did have it)

In the last few days it has been reported that both Rudy and Mitchell have fully recovered from the virus and are still practicing social distancing.

The Corona Pandemic

Well.. this Corona panic is turning out to be very serious.

Sadly I am not talking about the beer that tastes like crap. I am talking about the corona virus (COVID-19) that has spread all across the world. Making it a global pandemic. Schools are closed, restuerants aren’t seating inside, and worst of all SPORTS ARE CANCELED.

Okay on a real note sports being canceled actually isn’t the worst part. The worst part is that people are getting infected and dying from this virus. And everyone has a part to play in this. Sports needed to be canceled so the world can contain the spread of germs. Athletes and celebrities are playing their roles by staying at home and donating to hospitals in attempts to help fight the spread of this virus. And now it’s our turn as well. Its time for the students, the hard workers, the children, EVERYONE, it is our turn to help fight this virus. It is going to take all of us. We have to stay home, we have to wash our hands and take the proper precautions.

Because if we don’t, then this will take much longer to get our normal lives back.

So help the world out

Stay home and wash your hands
